Children's Ministries

There are multiple ministry opportunities for children on Sundays.

Nurseries are provided during all services for children under the age of 3 years old. Parents can expect a safe and clean environment for all infants and toddlers with our certified and trained staff and volunteers.

LIVING HOPE KIDS (Children’s Church) is a large group worship service provided for elementary-age children (K-5th) during the 9:15 & 10:45 am services in the Children’s Church room . The service consists of music, games, object lessons, prayer, and Bible teachings, all intended to lead students into worshipping God with all their might. Discovery Groups for all elementary-age children (K-5th grade) are offered during the 8:00 and 9:15 am Sunday services and present children with the opportunity to discuss the messages and ministry of LHC KIDS in smaller grade-specific groups.

For elementary-age children (K-5th) on Sunday evenings, 252 is a large group discipleship ministry with a small group twist, emphasizing bible teaching and scripture memorization. Topics presented for discussion are numerous and include, but are not limited to commitment, initiative, patience, peace, kindness etc.

Our weekly Children’s Ministries programs meet on Sunday mornings during all three services, Sunday evenings at 6 pm, and Wednesday evenings at 7 pm. We ask parents to accompany their children to the Children’s Welcome Center downstairs and check them in with the Children’s Welcome Center staff before service begins, and then return for their child(ren) at the conclusion of service. The first-time check-in process takes only a moment and requires basic information about the child, the adult who’s checking them in and out, and any pertinent medical/contact information. When returning for your child, you need only sign for them at the Children’s Welcome Center and our staff will escort them to you. For more information about Children’s Ministries events and programs, please contact Pastor Jonathan Bryan.

Discipleship doesn’t just happen on Wednesdays and Sundays, you know.

C.A.R.E. 4KIDS is a care-ministry designed to teach children how to show love and support for their peers. Meeting every Tuesday evening alongside the adult C.A.R.E. ministry (6:15-8:00 pm), children eat, fellowship, pray, write cards and call on other children and families with children. This is a meal AND ministry for the whole family, all in ninety minutes!

Is your son or grandson looking for adventure? Royal Rangers provide Biblical teaching and Christian mentorship for all boys and young men using merit and skills-oriented activities in age-appropriate settings. These groups meet every Wednesday evening during the 7 pm service and also sponsor weekend field-trips involving various outdoor activities

Is your daughter looking for fun, friends and relationships? Mpact Girls provide Biblical teaching and Christian mentorship for all girls and young women using merit and skills-oriented activities in age-appropriate settings. These groups meet every Wednesday evening during service times as well as sponsoring quarterly events and projects.

Do you Homeschool? Consider partnering with The Homeschoolers Association here at LHC. They meet for assembly and individual classes every second and fourth Thursday of the month during the academic calendar from 10 am-12:00 pm. Mothers of homeschoolers also meet once a month at 6:30 pm for devotion, discussion and support.

Special Events

Bring your cameras and get ready to see what these children can do!

The LHC KIDS Choir and Christmas Musical are for elementary-age children with talent in music and drama. Practices are conducted on Sunday afternoons from 4-6 PM in the Children’s Church room and are spent preparing for special events like July 4th, Evenings of Worship, the annual Christmas Musical, and more.

Vacation Bible School is a fun-filled four-day summer children’s ministry for preschool-5th grade students. It provides an excellent opportunity for children to hear God’s Word and to respond corporately and individually. A central Bible theme combined with adventure makes for an exciting week of evangelism and discipleship. Meaningful music, creative crafts and super-skits are just some of the great activities children enjoy as they learn what it means to have faith in Christ.

KidsFest is our annual summer outreach to the community. Beyond just food, games and fun, our entire congregation gathers on that night to distribute more than 1500 bookbags filled with school supplies just in time for the next school year. Typically held on the Friday evening before school reconvenes for the fall, KidsFest proves to be a wonderful way to end the summer!

Beyond summer, Trunk or Treat is a family-friendly-Fall alternative for elementary-age children. Typically held at the end of October, Trunk or Treat gives children an opportunity to dress up in biblical costumes and collect candy and treats from creatively decorated trunks. Hay rides, inflatables, food and games make this an event the whole family can enjoy!
